Easter/Spring Peep Bird Nests

Don't these adorable little Peeps in their bird nests just make you smile?  I made these with my sister Gabby when she was in town visiting from Portland.  It was soo wonderful to see her!!  Just looking at the pictures of the nests makes me miss her!

The nests are made of Rice Krispies and Chow Mein noodles.  You can hold them together with however you like.  I used a mixture of marshmallows and the yummy Oreo White Chocolate Peanut Butter from my last post.

If you have children or grandkids I would recommend making these together with them!  The nests are just formed with your hands and kids would enjoy adding the birds and their jelly bean eggs!

Oreo & White Chocolate Peanut Butter

I'm back!!  We finally got internet service at our new house today.  I apparently can survive without my computer :)  While it was good to not have the distraction of being online so I could unpack, I have missed posting my recipes and reading all of yours!!  I definitely have some catching up to do and unfortunately more unpacking!

On to this super duper easy recipe.  I am a big peanut butter fan.  It is right up there with chocolate.  So if you like peanut butter (check!), chocolate (double check!), and Oreos (uhh, check!) you will like this!  I saw the concoction over at Picky Palate.  Jenny, who came up with the recipe, recommended eating it straight from the jar, which sounded pretty good to me!  In addition to eating several spoonfuls, I  also used it as a dip on various things, including more Oreos (amazing), apples and animal cookies.  I have a really cute Easter treat using this peanut butter that I will be posting next!

Oreo & White Chocolate Peanut Butter  Source: Picky Palate

Ingredients:

10 whole Oreo Cookies, crushed
2 cups creamy peanut butter*
1 cup white chocolate chips (I think regular milk chocolate would be good as well)
2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter*

*I used a whole 18 ounce jar of peanut butter which is slightly more than the recipe called for, but it was really handy to have a jar to put some of the peanut butter back in to store for later.  Not all of it will fit in, but you will probably eat at bunch when you make it right?  :)

Directions:

1.  Crush Oreos into small pieces and place into a large bowl.  Stir in 2 cups peanut butter.
2.  Place white chocolate chips and 2 tablespoons peanut butter into a microwave safe bowl and slowly melt.
3. Add melted white chocolate and peanut butter to bowl of Oreos and peanut butter.  Stir to combine.
